Painting number 5 is alive!

DC’s new 52 didn’t have many titles that really interested me. One that did catch my eye was Wonder Woman. Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang have been doing amazing work on that book. Focusing on the Greek mythology aspect of her character for me heightened my interest in the character a great deal.

Wonder Woman is a fantasy type of character, there is no point having her break up bank robberies. That’s boring. Batman does that with more style anyway. Taking her back to her origins made sense. Kept the character more interesting, showing her dealing with her crazy “family”.

Azzarello and Chiang’s run on the title is almost done, but as always, I highly recommend you check out the collected editions if you’re looking for a good, fun comic!
